GazLanNaThai are on the move, but not going very far – just out from the centre of town to the mountain footslopes, on the west edge of the city.

Between now and the end of January, we’re relocating to a new home, which gives us a lot more space including a garden with orchard (mangos and lychee – yum!), and in true GazLanNaThai tradition, we’ve been able to offer some short-term employment to some hill tribe villagers who are clearing the jungle, relocating a few dozen trees, and following up with several days worth of general gardening.

No 1 son got an unexpected surprise – a 3-metre square sandpit that was discovered as the undergrowth was cleared – he’s as happy as a hippo in a mud-hole – is there any way to reason with a 15-month old, when it’s bath time?

We’re hoping the move will be 100% complete before February arrives, and that the unpacking is finished in time for the imminent arrival of a friend from the UK, who is due over for a short holiday.

I can confirm that the painting and decorating in the new stock hall, and offices, should be finished this weekend, another group of villagers are helping with the interior work.  Most of the business stock, and the computers etc. will be moved and organised before the household stuff is transferred.  The upshot is that there should be only about 4-5 days when orders might suffer a 1-day despatch delay (due to shuttling to and fro between the houses) – we hope this is OK with all our new and existing customers?

The end result will be that we have a lot more space for the business, from design, through production, to administration, shipping and warehousing, and will be able to increase the ranges and process orders faster.

The downside is that we’ll need to increase sales and marketing (exponentially) to pay for all this – so we need your order, large and small, and we need them regularly.  You may have noticed that I’m adding additional ranges to the store, here at GazLanNaThai, more frequently nowadays, and that GazLanNaThai stores on 3rd-party venues are popping up all over the place and filling rapidly too.   There’s plenty more to be added, so please return often.
