Here at GazLanNaThai.com, one of our perennial best selling products is the range of Prickly Heat Powders made in Thailand by a previously British-owned company.

Historically, as far as we’re concerned, the range has always been supplied in traditional screw-top shaker-cans containing 50-grams of powder.  Throughout last year, we found it increasing difficult to obtain replenishment stocks and discovered late in the year that those smaller sizes tins, ideal for gift set building, were to be phased out in favour of larger “family size” cans.

We’ve since learned that while four new can-sizes were launched last year, another three are currently available as a market trial to see just how big a can of Prickly Heat Powder the public will buy.

We’ve already added the new 100g, 150g, 200g, and 300g sizes to the GazLanNaThai online store,and they’re available for you to buy now.  Please remember, especially if you’ve been used to buying the 50g cans for many years, that these new sizes are a lot heavier, and shipping costs will be affected accordingly.

Most especially, we ask that you do not process your order through to the last confirmation page before paying, and then abandon your cart – this commits the stock that you no longer want, to your order, and prevents others from buying it.

We’re holding off adding the new, even larger, sizes just yet.  Availability is intermittent and not yet reliable, either local wholesalers, or from central distributors.   These new giant cans in 400g, 450g, and 500g content-weight sizes never seem to be available in all fragrances at any one time, not even if scouting from one supplier to the next on the same day.  Perhaps this is because they are currently still being market tested?
