Thai Silk Scarves – your No. 1 favourite back in stock

No matter which way we look at the figures, the most popular product in the GazLanNaThai catalogue has got to be our Thai Raw Silk Scarves and Shawls.
Since we added the range to our store (and on sites like eBid and eBay) back in the summer of 2003, they have consistently been the most in-demand product with both retail and reseller customers alike. In fact, our resellers of these super-soft silks have been consistently our most loyal and regularly returning customers. But it’s not just the trade who recognise their value and attractiveness.
We have many retail customers who return time and time again, including one in the US who has stated her mission is to own at least one of every colour we can source. Now that’s dedication to a single-supplier shopping addiction. Not that we’re complaining mind you, we’d love our scarves and shawls to become as collectable and desirable as some of the top-branded names.
After being absent from our store since we relocated last summer, we’ve finally got the logistics side of things sorted out and they’re now being restocked. If we’re honest, we simply had so many people asking for them in November and December last year, that it was impossible for us not to finally address the supply and transport issues head-on, and solve them. It looks like we’ve been successful.
This month, we’ve been able to restock two of our resellers (one in the UK and one in the US) and even keep a small supply for starting to repopulate the GazLanNaThai.com online store. We’ve also had the pleasure of resupplying a large choir that we originally kitted out a couple of years ago, and despite time and distance, we managed to get the same colours as their first order – well done to everyone at the village looms on that achievement.
One of the tasks we have to complete as we bring the silks range back into the GazLanNaThai.com online store, is a major reworking of all the photographs to have them match the silk colour, hue, and shade much more closely. They were good matches before, but they were always just slightly “off”.
We’ve invested in a new computer monitor that we’re told will allow us to get the truest on-screen representations for the silk colours – initial resampling of the images look good to us, as per this example that used to be a generic “Royal Blue” but is now showing its true “Majestic Blue” (several percent lighter and brighter than the old photo).
Because the range of colours is so large, with our current photo files showing over 300 unique silk colours, shades, and hues – it’s going to take us some time to fully restock both online and offline, therefore we recommend you check back regularly, or opt to receive newsletters from within your customer account in our online store. We’re hoping to finally have email newsletters active and circulating before this summer (after seven years+ without them).
For all our previous customers who’ve been unable to get additional scarves these last seven or eight months, we apologise. If you contact us using the GazLanNaThai.com Store Enquiries form, you can let us know which colours of Thai Silk Scarves and Shawls you’re hoping to buy next, and we can prioritise restocking of those colours for you. Alternatively, simply post a comment using the form at the bottom of this article, and we’ll note your request then contact you with updates.
Also, once you’ve registered as a store customer, we’d very much appreciate it if you can find a minute to leave a product review for the scarves you previously bought, even if you bought them via another site.
For now, you can leave product reviews on GazLanNaThai.com even if you haven’t bought from this site, though that may change in the near future. Simply browse through the store to find the product you previously bought (or one suitably similar) then on the product description page, look for the reviews box at the bottom of the left hand sidebar, and the link to leave a review of your own for the currently viewed product.
This request for customer reviews also applies to all our other ranges too. As we move forward, we’d like to hear from all our customers regarding product and service quality. What better way to do that than with a review of a product you previously bought from us? (Note – we do monitor reviews for inappropriate content and delete spam inputs etc.)
